At Nick's Quick Fix, our goal is simple: provide honest repairs, clear communication, and quality workmanship at a fair price. These policies are designed to protect both you and us while ensuring every repair is handled professionally and transparently.
Every repair begins with an evaluation of your device and the information you provide about the problem.
Because electronic devices can have multiple hidden issues, especially after liquid damage, power surges, impact damage, or previous repair attempts, our initial estimate should be considered our best professional assessment—not a guaranteed final diagnosis.
If additional problems are discovered during the repair process that require extra labor or replacement parts, we will always contact you before performing any additional billable work.
We never believe in surprise charges.
No repair exceeding the approved estimate will be performed without your authorization.
Electronic devices are incredibly complex, and every repair carries some degree of risk.
Some failures simply cannot be predicted before a device is disassembled.
Examples include:
Hidden corrosion from previous liquid damage
Damaged or fragile ribbon cables
Components weakened by age or overheating
Failed solder joints
Defective replacement parts
Previously attempted repairs
Manufacturer defects
Certain repairs—particularly motherboard repair, data recovery, screen replacement, and liquid damage restoration—carry a higher level of risk.
While every repair is performed with professional care and appropriate tools, Nick's Quick Fix cannot guarantee that every device is repairable or that additional failures will not occur during the repair process.
By authorizing service, you acknowledge these inherent risks.
Communication is one of our highest priorities.
If we discover that:
the repair will cost more than originally estimated,
additional parts are required,
the original repair is unlikely to resolve the issue,
or we believe replacement is the better option,
we will pause work and contact you before proceeding.
You'll always know what your options are.
Payment is due upon completion of service unless other arrangements have been made in writing.
We accept most major payment methods.
Invoices not paid within 30 days may be considered delinquent.
Devices left unpaid or unclaimed after reasonable notification may be considered abandoned after 60 days and may be recycled, sold to recover repair costs, or otherwise disposed of as permitted by law.
Whenever replacement parts are required, we'll explain:
what part is needed,
why it's necessary,
the associated cost,
and our estimated arrival time.
Shipping delays are outside of our control, so arrival dates are estimates only.
Unless otherwise agreed, Nick's Quick Fix installs only parts sourced through our trusted suppliers.
Customer-supplied parts are installed at the customer's own risk and are not covered under our warranty.
Nick's Quick Fix cannot guarantee compatibility, quality, or reliability of customer-provided components.
We proudly stand behind our workmanship.
All qualifying repairs include a 60-day Limited Shop Warranty covering defects directly related to the original repair performed.
If the original issue returns within 60 days due to our workmanship or a defective replacement part supplied by Nick's Quick Fix, we will inspect and repair the device again at no additional labor charge.
If we determine the issue cannot be corrected, an appropriate refund or alternative solution may be offered at our discretion.
Our warranty does not cover:
Physical damage after pickup
Cracked screens
Liquid damage occurring after repair
Electrical surges or power damage
Virus or malware infections
Software corruption
Operating system problems unrelated to the original repair
Customer-installed hardware
Customer-supplied parts
Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or accidents
New issues unrelated to the original repair
Additional failures caused by age or wear of surrounding components
Opening the device, modifying our repair, or allowing another shop to perform work during the warranty period voids the warranty for that repair.
Your data is important.
While we make every reasonable effort to preserve your files during repair, no repair shop can guarantee against data loss.
We strongly recommend backing up important information before bringing in your device.
If we believe a repair carries a significant risk of data loss, we'll discuss those risks beforehand and, when possible, offer backup or recovery services before proceeding.
Nick's Quick Fix is not responsible for lost data resulting from hardware failure, existing corruption, failed storage devices, or unforeseen complications during repair.
Data recovery differs from traditional repair work.
Every storage device fails differently, and no company can honestly promise a successful recovery.
Payment covers the time, expertise, specialized equipment, and recovery attempts—not the amount of data recovered.
While we'll always make every reasonable effort to recover your information, successful recovery can never be guaranteed.
Some services involve significant labor even when a repair cannot be completed.
These include:
Motherboard repair
Component-level diagnostics
Data recovery
Devices with previous repair attempts
Severe liquid damage
For these repairs, a repair-attempt fee may apply even if the device cannot ultimately be repaired.
We'll explain any applicable fees before beginning work.
Most repairs are completed within 24–48 hours.
However, some repairs require special-order parts, extensive diagnostics, manufacturer information, or component-level troubleshooting.
Estimated completion dates are our best projection and should not be interpreted as guarantees.
We believe in doing the repair correctly—not simply quickly.
Once your repair is complete, we'll notify you promptly.
Due to limited storage space, repaired devices should be picked up within 60 days.
Devices left beyond that period without communication may be considered abandoned.
If long-term storage has been arranged, storage fees may apply.
For mail-in repairs, we strongly recommend purchasing shipping insurance.
Nick's Quick Fix cannot be responsible for damage or loss caused by shipping carriers.
Please package your equipment carefully to minimize the possibility of transit damage.
Technology doesn't have to be confusing.
You'll never be pressured into unnecessary repairs.
You'll never receive surprise charges.
You'll always receive honest recommendations—even if the best recommendation is not to repair the device.
Our goal isn't just fixing computers.
It's earning your trust.
Thank you for choosing Nick's Quick Fix Computer Repair.
